Bethany Christian Academy’s academic learning assistance program exists to help students who struggle in school overcome their academic difficulties. With two levels of support,
Search and Teach, geared toward identifying potential learning challenges for children in Kindergarten through third grades, and
NILD Educational Therapy, a program for students in fourth through eighth grades developed by the National Institute for Learning Development, BCA aims to help students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their education and beyond! Both of these programs are offered to students who can function within a regular classroom environment, but experience frustration in areas related to school performance (poor spelling, illegible handwriting, inability to express thoughts in writing, or difficulty with reading or math). The goal of NILD educational therapy is to move the student with assessed learning differences and those with diagnosed learning disabilities toward independence and success in the regular classroom and to realize his/her God given strengths and abilities.
