A private Christian education is a significant investment in your child's growth and life. The Word of God is a seed that will not return void but will prosper where it has been planted (Isaiah 55:11). It is an incorruptible seed that will not perish (I Peter 1:23), but will continue to grow and compound as your child reaches out and influences the world around him/her.
And, our families have told us that BCA is worth every penny!
But the wisdom that comes from above leads us to be pure, friendly, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere.
James 3:17
Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.
Ecclesiastes 7:12
On campus every student is known, challenged, valued, inspired, and taught God's truth. Our teachers value the strengths and talents of each student and focus on providing a well-rounded education to all, providing an environment where students can reach their full potential with a distinct focus on science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math.
BUILDING A SOLID FOUNDATION
Our passion is to equip our students with a solid foundation spiritually, academically, physically, and socially.
INSPIRING CURIOSITY & EXPLORATION
We encourage students to step out of their comfort zones, try new things, develop new interests, and deepen their faith.
CHRIST-CENTERED ACADEMICS
We prepare students to meet the demands of high school and beyond; equipping them academically and spiritually through a Christ-centered curriculum.
LOVE OF CHRIST & CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
BCA is a place that instills a love of learning, helps to develop character, and models the love of Jesus Christ through our teachers and staff.
OPPORTUNITIES TO PURSUE INTERESTS & BUILD PASSIONS
Our goal is that all students will discover passion and purpose as they seek their place in life and realize how they m ight have a lasting impact on their world as a child of Christ.
CHALLENGING, YET AGE APPROPRIATE CURRICULUM
All of BCA's teachers strive to know their students well. Understanding where each child is developmentally is key in enabling him/her to reach goals that are both challenging and achievable.
ACADEMIC LEARNING ASSISTANCE
BCA has learning assistance programs in place to help students who struggle in school overcome their academic difficulties. We aim to help those students develop the skills and the confidence to move toward independence and success in the regular classroom and to realize their God-given strengths and abilities.
AFFORDABLE
TUITION
At BCA, we make every effort to keep tuition as affordable as possible by offering discounts for families with more than one student. It is God's heart and our mission to make a Christ-centered education accessible to many who could not otherwise consider such an opportunity.
COMPUTER LAB &
STEAM LEARNING
At BCA, we integrate ICT (information and communication technology) and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics) activities into our digital literacy learning. Our students are engaged, from kindergarten through 8th grade, with project based learning activities that help them develop problem-solving, collaboration, persistence, and computational thinking skills.
STUDENT BODY
DIVERSITY
At BCA, we recognize and celebrate the diversity within our classrooms; from varied reading levels, athletic abilities, cultural backgrounds, and differing strengths and personalities. Our students are all recognized as special and unique, individually created by God. We want each of our students to feel valued and respected for who they are, to learn about each other, and to gain an appreciation for the diversity they bring to our school.
VOLUNTEER &
COMMUNITY SERVICE
BCA’s middle school students are required to serve and volunteer, whether with a local non-profit, a church, or an on-campus mentor. By serving they are encouraged to follow the example of Jesus Christ. It gives them learning experiences that enhances their academic learning, and it allows them to explore their gifts and talents through serving in various environments while providing a tangible benefit to the community.
INTER-LEAGUE
ATHLETICS
BCA is a member of the Christian Athletic League of Orange County (CALOC). Students in 4th through 8th grades can participate in after school inter-league competitive sports. We offer football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
WEEKLY CHAPEL & STUDENT PRAYER PARTNERS
BCA's student body meets one day each week to worship the Lord together, listen to a speaker, teacher, or watch a class performance, and pray. Each new school year, our older students are paired with younger students to come alongside them as a friend, mentor and prayer partner. The students meet each week and during key times throughout the year for fun activities and time spent together to share and pray together.
VISUAL ARTS &
PERFORMING ARTS
BCA has a variety of visual & performing arts on campus for both our elementary and junior high students.
ELEMENTARY
MIDDLE SCHOOL
ACSI STUDENT ACTIVITIES
& COMPETITIONS
ACSI student activities enhance learning beyond the classroom. Activities and competitions challenge students in God-honoring applications of their leadership skills, fine art talents, and academic abilities. Students develop communication skills, composure, and confidence-all in the context of fun and fellowship with other Christian young people!
ACTIVITIES & COMPETITIONS
PHYSICAL
EDUCATION
BCA teaches physical education.
PE prepares children to be physically and mentally active, fit and healthy...for life. There are many benefits from physical education,
but one of the biggest is that children who are active do dramatically better in school!
MULTITUDE OF ELECTIVES
& STUDY HALL
BCA's middle school elective programs encourage creativity and impart practical life skills. Electives provide opportunity to explore and develop areas of interest.
CAREER
EXPLORATION
Middle school is a time when students can benefit the most from career exploration, a process of building self-awareness, learning about potential careers, and developing a plan for reaching future goals. Our 7th and 8th graders spend time learning about their likes, their dislikes, and translating that information into possible career choices.
STUDENT FIELD TRIPS
& RETREATS
As part of their classroom studies, BCA students take a number of educational field trips each school year to bring their classroom learning to life.
OPTIONAL TRIPS (bi-annually)
Fundraising activities take place to help students earn money to attend these optional long distance trips.
For the convenience or our families, BCA offers day care before and after school. Before school day care opens at 6:30 a.m. After school day care begins upon school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
Beginning after the close of the school year in June, BCA offers summer day camp for children going into 1st grade through 8th grade. Doors open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. Each day is filled with fun activities, Bible study, arts & crafts, computer, math and educational activities, and field trips. Children do not have to be BCA students to attend summer day camp.
