CURRICULUM
Bethany Christian Academy primarily uses curriculum from Bob Jones University Press (BJU) . BJU Press is committed to Christian education and producing textbooks and teaching materials that:
- Shape a Biblical Worldview - Every subject is taught from a biblical standpoint.
- Encourage Critical Thinking - Students are directed to think for themselves. They are encouraged to use discernment and consider their worldview in everyday situations in order to develop critical thinking skills.
- Are Academically Rigorous - BJU educational materials are not just biblically faithful; they are also academically sound. Their materials use hands-on-learning and creative problem solving to motivate students to take an active role in learning and to master age-appropriate material.
- Support Technology Solutions - Technology enhancements are included for teachers and students to use in the classroom.
BCA also utilizes curriculum from Abeka and Bible curriculum from Deep Roots.
All of our curriculum meets or exceeds state and common core standards.
